Your sewa is critical to launch the new Gurdwara that will be the heartbeat of the whole Reading and Wokingham community, providing religious, education and sports services to all of Sangat, from toddlers, teenagers, young parents all the way to our older Sangat members.

What Singh Sabha Gurdwara Reading offers the Community.
Reading Gurdwara offers a number of free services, both volunteer and employee led, which are funded by donations.
Punjabi & Sikhi classes
Punjabi language and Sikh history classes every week in a welcoming and inclusive environment. Adult only classes to start soon.
Warm Space
At the Gurdwara, individuals are welcome to sit, volunteer for various roles, and receive communal support.
Immigration & Legal Advice
To be launched. Regular immigration drop-in sessions to help assist our growing community of Sangat that have arrived from overseas.
Meditation sessions
To be launched. Meditation sessions where Sangat members will be guided on how to meditate according to Sikh principles.
Langar
Free community Kitchen offers hot meals:
Tuesday & Thursdays 10:00am to 1:00pm
& Sunday 8:00am to 3:00pm
to anyone.
Youth Classes
Regular youth groups for children to learn more about Sikh social issues, wellbeing and employment opportunities. These will start in Q4 2024.
CV Review & Writing
Regular sessions to enhance CV and job applications, helping people gain employment through professional support.
Kirtan classes
Tabla and Vaaja classes are offered every week by our resident Gyani's (Priests).
About US
Singh Sabha TKD
The Tae-Kwon-Do club trains every Thursday at 7pm in the Warehouse (opposite the Cumberland Rd Gurdwara). Kids & Adults welcome.
Abuse Support
Trained counsellors or care providers who can help in English, Panjabi or Hindi.
Access To Healthcare
We have trained NHS Health Champions who can support general health concerns and issues in Punjabi & Hindi.
Community Wellbeing Hub
Trained professionals are available to assist anyone with any possible difficulty on a strictly confidential basis e.g. food shortages, housing, anxiety.
